All of the firm beilieve strongly that Court is a last resort and that if at all possible, issues in family law should be settled outside of the Court room setting - by negotiation, mediation, arbitration or collaborative law. Each of the lawyers believes it is important to advocate for his or her client and to effect positive changes to the standards, process and practice of family law in Canada.
Each of the firm members participate in Continuing Legal Education courses - either as students or faculty, and the firm taught Family Law at the Law School at UVIC in 2010. The firm recognizes that family law is a very important area of the law, that often is overlooked by other lawyers and is an area of the law that touches more people than most other areas.
