Brown Henderson Melbye is a law firm in Victoria, British Columbia that devotes its practice all to Family Law. We assist families that are separating, divorcing, embarking on co-habitation, marriage, or couples that are starting a family.

We are committed to resolving disputes outside of the courtroom whenever possible. We are all members of the Collaborative Family Law Group of Victoria and are also committed to mediation. We see court as a last resort but are experienced litigators.

Trudi Brown, Q.C. and Jane Henderson, Q.C. have practiced together for almost 25 years. Kay Melbye joined the firm in 2001 and became a partner in 2009. Trudi, Jane, and Kay welcomed Aesha Faux to the firm as an Associate in 2009.

We also have the benefit of an Article Student from the University of Victoria Law School Co-Op program who we mentor and who assists with legal research, document drafting, and Court preparation.
